2008 Richmond Grove Limited Release Adelaide Hills Chardonnay

The more I try Adelaide Hills Chardonnay the more I am convinced that it is one of Australia’s finest wine styles. Thus I was not surprised by the inherent quality of this Limited Release Richmond Grove Chardonnay – but I was surprised by the price. It is very good value.
This is an imminently drinkable wine with roundness, softness and richness. The fruit flavours are very fresh and bright which gives the wine an appealing energy. The French oak has been stylishly used to frame the wine rather than dominate it. All in all it is a very satisfying and balanced wine.
