2006 Nautilus Sauvignon Blanc

Every year when I look at the current release Sauvignon Blancs I have a new favourite.  This year a wine that has charmed me is the Nautilus Sauvignon Blanc from Marlborough, New Zealand.

This is a particularly delectable wine due to its expressive tropical aroma and its hint of herbaceousness.  The palate is very sweet-fruited with defined and piercing flavours.  It is a wine style that would be enjoyed by many and it is true of the Marlborough style.

It is perfectly lovely enjoyed on its own though it also makes a great partner to fresh fish and seafood.
