2010 Frankland Estate Rocky Gully Riesling

Frankland River Sub-region, Western Australia

Frankland Estate

When we think of Western Australian wines, Riesling is not the first variety that comes to mind, but this one is a winner.; From the ironstone soils of the Frankland River Region of WA, this wine has a softness and brightness that is unique to its origin.

Pale green gold in colour with bright lemon and lime on the nose with a touch of honey and flinty dryness. On the palate, the tangy lime juice freshness is tempered with honeycomb notes – candied honey and savory beeswax notes. Clean and pure with lovely length, this is the perfect wine to help transition through the difficult Spring weather of October. Enjoy on a cooler day with a big bowl of chicken noodle soup, or in the sunshine, perhaps on the beach with the perfect fish and chips.
