2002 Dalwhinnie Pinot Noir

Pyrenees, Victoria

Dalwhinnie

The current vintage of the Dalwhinnie Pinot Noir is one of the most complete and well balanced Pinot’s that I have seen this year.

It has power and elegance, opulence and refinement. The nose is incredibly intense, with aromas of ripe black cherries, violets and the smallest hint of spice. The palate is forthcoming with its flavours and is in perfect harmony with the nose.

There is no stalkiness, overt alcohol or harsh tannins which can often plague this variety. The refined use of oak takes this wine to a higher plane, demonstrating the skill with which this wine was made.

It is worth every cent of the price, especially when compared with a lot of the competition. An early winter treat.

Available in specialist wine shops or through cellar door.
