2004 Bochara Wines Sauvignon Blanc
Henty, Victoria

On a recent visit to Victoria, as a guest of the Henty Vignerons Association, I discovered a host of delicious wines. This small region, south of the Grampians in South Western Victoria is scattered with well kept vineyards, whose owners are passionate about quality wine production. I discovered intense Rieslings, savoury styles of Shiraz and many great Pinots.
One of my early finds was the affordable Bochara Sauvignon Blanc. The fresh, grassy aromas were complemented by lovely tropical flavours of medium intensity. The acidity was crisp and appealing, making the wine a great accompaniment to casual summer fare.
The wine can be sourced direct from the winery. They also have a lovely
Pinot, Shiraz and bubbly if you were thinking of a mixed case.
Price: $15
