2007 See Saw Semillon Sauvignon Blanc
Hunter Valley, NSW & Marlborough, NZ

Australia and New Zealand are friendly rivals in many pursuits – I am only too aware of this with an Australian father and a Kiwi mother.  My Dad always insisted Australia made the best wine but my mum, being a good loyal citizen, always backed New Zealand.

Finally I have found the perfect wine for them – See Saw Semillon Sauvignon Blanc – a fine blend of Hunter Semillon and Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc!  Although this initially seems like an unusual combination, the varieties complement each other exceedingly well.  I love the minerally palate and the intense yet fine flavours.  It is very well made and well worth drinking.
